|Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
Under the Family Medical Leave Act of 1993, the University provides the opportunity for employees who have been employed for at least 12 months to receive up to 12 weeks in a 12-month period without pay for their own illness or the illness of a family member (as defined in the act). FMLA is coordinated with STD and employee provided benefits such as vacation, personal and sick days.
