The mission of ORSP is to provide faculty and administration with assistance in seeking and obtaining external funding. ORSP strives to provide the best possible services and resources to Adelphi faculty.

The office achieves its mission through the realization of the following goals:

• To provide a comprehensive environment for obtaining, processing and administering external and internal grants.
• To establish, maintain, and communicate policies and procedures that ensure the smooth functioning of the grant proposal process.
• To act as liaison between faculty and the Offices of the Provost and Controller.

ORSP is directed by Associate Provost Michael Breton. Dr. Breton received his Ph.D. in Psychology (Sensation, Perception and Psychophysics) from the University of Chicago in 1975 following graduation from Amherst College, cum laude, in 1971. He has held faculty positions at Wills Eye Hospital, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology. Since 1995 he has held administrative positions and has extensive experience in research administration, compliance and technology transfer.
